Last month, Gordon Christiansen, Partner of Highlands attended the National Business Products Industry (NBPI) City of Hope event in Pasadena, California. It took place February 20-21, 2023, and included a Tour, Golf Outing and Hall of Fame Dinner.
Highlands is proud to be part of NBPI, the leading fundraising industry group at City of Hope. Through philanthropic activities, like Move for Hope, Highlands raises funds to support City of Hope’s transformative research and patient care for life-threatening diseases such as cancer and diabetes.
“Hearing the moving stories of how City of Hope has impacted lives is always the highlight of the trip for me,” said Gordon Christiansen, Partner of Highlands. “The team at Highlands looks forward to our fundraising event every year knowing they get to play a small part in City of Hope’s profound mission.
I would also like to congratulate Boris Elisman of ACCO for being Honoree this year, and the two NBPI Spirit of Life inductees, Marlin Wendland and Greg Strand. Their leadership within NBPI is inspiring.”
The two-day event began with presentations from three City of Hope representatives followed by a cocktail reception hosted by the Emerging Leaders Committee. After the golf outing the next day, Dr. Priceman spoke to the group about City of Hope’s Immunotherapy research and Dr. Pugliese gave updates about City of Hope’s Diabetes Research. The event ended with the Hall of Fame dinner and program that evening.
