Gordon: Hello and welcome to Highlands’ Thinking
I’m Gordon Christiansen, Partner at Highlands, and I’m joined today by Patrice Whelehan, Sales and Marketing Director at Sanni Bin.
Patrice: Hi, Gordon.
Gordon: Hey Patrice, so great to have you, today.
You guys have designed a product that’s both environmentally friendly and saves businesses money. Those two things don’t normally go hand-in-hand. Can you tell me a little bit more about Sanni Bin?
Patrice: Yeah, so Sanni Bin is an eco-friendly, sustainable solution revolutionising the feminine hygiene waste disposal industry. So it’s made from 100% poly biodegradable paper. And can simply be disposed of in the regular waste, so no special collection needed. So, instead of customers paying for costly contracts for the traditional PVC bins, they can simply switch to Sanni Bin and save significantly. So to give you an example, we know a business that had two restrooms that made the switch to Sanni Bin and saved 75%!
Gordon: Gosh, that’s impressive, but also makes a lot of sense. But some might wonder does this create extra work for the business when their managing their facilities?
Patrice: No, not at all, we have designed Sanni Bin to be a really simple and easy system to use. So it just takes seconds to pop open in place in the restroom, so no need for contract servicing, extra cleaning, just a really simple solution that saves money and supports sustainability.
Gordon: That’s great. It does mean then that the proposition to the business consumer is really strong, but why should Sanni Bin be so interesting for business products distributors?
Patrice: But I think first of all, for most distributors, this would be a brand new category. So a real opportunity for growth here. And secondly, it ships in a flat pack system, which reduces the carbon footprint of deliveries significantly compared to that of the traditional PVC bins. It’s also really straightforward for distributors to ship to their customers the value of one box is enough to ship alone or they can simply add up with other products.
Gordon: Cool, anything else?
Patrice: Yeah. And I think it’s important to say here, Gordon, that Sanni Bin is a consumable item. So once distributed customers choose Sanni Bin, they will continue to reorder.
Gordon: Excellent. Well, it actually sounds like a slam dunk for distributors that are seeking new categories and looking for sales growth. If someone’s interested in learning more, what should they do?
Patrice: Well, that’s simple. Just reach out to your Highlands contact and they will do the rest.
Gordon: Yes, they will!
