Only post content that is relevant to your target audience and follower base and solves a problem they’re facing. For example, a monitor mount company could solve a neck pain issue for your target audience if they have the wrong computer set up at their desk. In that case, posting content that discusses the basics of ergonomics and how it reduces back pain, can help boost engagement with your followers.

As a result, this may encourage your followers to make a purchase, right then and there. When you post content that is relevant and attracts potential customers, you’re giving them a nearly instant solution to the problem your product helps solve, and shortening the path to purchase all at once.

Use High-Quality Imagery and Videos

Just like on your website or Amazon page, it’s vital that you have quality product images and videos on your social platforms. With so much content out there, high-resolution content is the bare minimum. Include videos and imagery that show close-up details of the products, the product in use, and more. This transparency gives your audience all the necessary information they need to make a purchase. Particularly since shoppers can’t physically touch the items when buying on social, it’s important to provide enough content for them to feel confident in their purchase decision.

Engage with Your Followers

Selling on social gives you a great opportunity to engage directly with shoppers, answering any questions and getting feedback in real-time that you can use to improve the user experience moving forward. It also allows you to build brand awareness and loyalty, showing your audience that you’re a company that values their thoughts and experiences with your products or services.
